Children don't know what they are interested in until they get the chance to try it. A child who has never held a paintbrush has no way of knowing whether painting is the thing. So we hand them the brush, the shaker, the Spanish word, the circuit — and we watch what happens next.

Beyond the basics
Reading, writing, math and science are the floor. Not the ceiling.
A strong education includes all four, and this school takes them seriously. Childhood should have room for a good deal more than that. The goal is not to make every child exceptional at everything — it is to give every child the chance to find out what excites them, early enough that it has somewhere to go.
Nobody is auditioning
There is no tryout and no cut. A child who is bad at something on Monday is welcome to be bad at it again on Tuesday, which is how anyone gets good at anything.
It is the same method
Enrichment is not a break from how we teach. A child mixing a color they cannot name yet is running the same cycle as a child building a bird feeder: try, look, adjust. See the method →

Enrichment is led by teachers and visiting specialists who actually do the thing — not by a video, and not by a worksheet about the thing.

Seven programs run across the year. Four of them are below.
Music & movement
Keeping a beat with your whole body before you ever read a note. It is also how a two-year-old learns that a group can do one thing together on purpose.
Spanish
Spoken in the room, attached to real objects and real requests, at the age when a second language still goes in without effort.
STEAM
Building, testing, measuring, wiring, taking apart. The closest thing on this list to the CAPE cycle itself — a question, a build, and an honest look at whether it worked.
Three more, and they change
The rest of the line-up shifts with the year, the ages in the building and who is available to teach it. Ask the office what is running this term — the answer is a real answer, not a brochure.
How it works
Inside the day, not bolted onto it.
Enrichment happens during the school day, in the rooms your child already knows, with the adults they already trust. Nobody gets collected early or sent somewhere unfamiliar to take part.
When
Sessions run in the working part of the morning or the second half of the afternoon, by room.

Who it is for
Programs are pitched to the room, so what a two-year-old does in music is not what a first-grader does. Find your child's room on Programs & Ages.
Some of this becomes a life. Some of it becomes a really good day.
One child will still be playing in ten years. Another will remember exactly once that she was allowed to cover a table in paint and nobody minded. We are not sorting the two — we cannot tell which is which, and neither can they yet.
