For years, families have known us as Young Innovators Academy Winter Park. This October, we are beginning a new chapter with a name that reflects not only where we are, but who we are becoming.
Young Innovators Academy Winter Park is becoming The Winter Park School.
Our location remains the same. Our commitment to children and families remains the same. But our new name gives us the opportunity to build something deeply connected to the community we call home.
More Than a New Name
Located at 225 S. Interlachen Avenue, The Winter Park School is surrounded by one of the things that makes our community so special: opportunities to learn are everywhere.
A walk through Winter Park can become a lesson in architecture. A visit to a local business can spark a conversation about entrepreneurship. A trip outdoors can lead to questions about science, nature, art, or community.
We want children to see that learning doesn't stop at the classroom door.
Where Curiosity Leads the Way
The world our children are growing into is changing quickly. Finding an answer is becoming easier every year. Knowing which questions to ask, what to trust, how to work with others, and what to do when the first idea doesn't work is becoming increasingly important.
That's why our approach centers on curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, communication, and hands-on learning.
From infancy through the early elementary years, we want children to do more than learn information. We want them to investigate, make things, test ideas, solve problems, communicate their thinking, and discover what they're capable of.
Because sometimes the most important thing a child can say isn't: “I know the answer.”

Over the coming weeks, families will begin seeing our new name, new look, and new experiences throughout the school.
But this isn't simply a rebrand.
It's an opportunity to create a school that feels distinctly Winter Park—a place where children are known, families belong, teachers inspire, and the community itself becomes part of the learning experience.
